MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENT

In order to participate in Water Ballet Lessons, a Family Full Membership is required.

There will not be water ballet lessons offered in session 3. Lessons will resume summer 2025.

WATER BALLET LESSON PREREQUISITES

• Level 1 (Beginner) – 1) Have NOT performed in Water Ballet show or taken Water Ballet lessons previously, OR 2) under 8 years old. (lesson in shallow end of lap pool)
• Level 2 (Intermediate) – Have performed in show AND over 8 years old AND passed out of Level 1. (lesson in diving well)
• Level 3 (Advanced) Have performed in show for 3+ years and passed out of Level 2. (lesson in diving well)

WATER BALLET LESSON LEVEL GUIDELINES

Participants in LEVEL 1:

• Most first-time participants or young children
• Should be able to float on front and back
• Should be comfortable with putting face in water/putting head underwater
• Should be strong enough swimmer to be able to swim without support (lessons are in the shallow end of the big pool)

Participants in LEVEL 2:

• Strong underwater swimmer
• Should be able to tread water/skull
• Should be able to float on front and back
• Should be comfortable swimming in deep water (lessons are in the diving well)
• Should be able to do back and front somersaults
• Should be able to do basic water ballet moves, such as: Water Ballet Leg, Eiffel Tower, Somersub, Clam/Split Clam, Tub -Back Dolphin

Participants in LEVEL 3:

• Passed out of Water Ballet levels 1 and 2
• Strong underwater swimmer
• Should be able to tread water/skull
• Should be able to float on front and back
• Comfortable swimming in deep water (lessons are in the diving well)
• Should be able to do back and front somersaults
• Should be willing to try more advanced moves
• Should be able to certain Level 2 water ballet moves, such as: Kip/Split Kip, Jumpover /Stacey Move, Catalina/Subalina, Front Dolphin, Swordfish, Double Water Ballet Leg, Back/Front Walkover
