We are excited to welcome back Kate Yehle as our head coach, with the addition of assistant coach AJ Beard.
Kate is a lifetime Penguin and was a prolific Parkcrest diver for nine years. She also dove at the state meet for Vel Phillips Memorial high school before graduating in 2021. She currently studies and dives at Macalester College in Minnesota. Kate loves coaching Penguin divers because she can help kids overcome their fears and accomplish great things while having fun. Kate’s favorite dive is an inward 1 1/2 tuck.
AJ has been diving for the Penguins since age seven and is a six-time medalist at the All-City Dive Meet. He competed at the USA Diving Junior Nationals last summer in the 1M, 3M and platform events and, as a freshman, helped Vel Phillips High to a runner-up finish at the State Swimming and Diving Championships this Spring. AJ’s favorite dive is double-twisting front 1 1/2.
